Introducing our next Legendary Independent Venue Edition (LIVE) watch: the Haven x First Ave.

I don't even know what to say. The 17 year-old version of me'd probably pass out.

It's impossible for me to overstate how much First Ave has meant to me (and Steve). Growing up in the suburbs of St Paul, First Ave was, aside from the record store, where I most wanted to spend time, and we saw just gobs and gobs of amazing shows there. Plus it wasn't just a rad place for me to sacrifice hours and hours of my youth: First Ave's amazing, having played host to legendary shows, served as the location of movies, and is the stage any number of epic bands got their footing. For 55 years, First Ave (and its sister club, the 7th Street Entry) has anchored the Minneapolis music scene, and releasing a watch to celebrate their anniversary, and all they've done for the community, is one of the bigger thrills I've ever had.

Powered by a Sellita 360 movement, the watch's black dial—a brick relief motif a la the club's exterior—features the First Ave's star at 12, it's wordmark at 1, the 7th at 7 for the Entry, and Minneapolis beneath the six, all of which are lumed. The date window at 3 features a black background and white print. The 120-click black and gray rotating bezel's lumed at the numerals and measures 39mm wide—a perfect contemporary size. The watch itself, made of 316L steel, measures 12mm thick, 38mm wide, 46mm lug-to-lug, with a signed screw-down crown, making the watch water resistant to 20ATM. On the caseback, as on all Haven watches, the Great Lakes are etched in relief.

We’ll only be making 55 of these. Each will ship in custom Haven x First Ave packaging and will include the coffin-link bracelet, a black leather strap, and a translucent silicone strap.

In the continued spirit of fostering music and community, proceeds from Haven x First Ave watch sales will benefit local non-profit Twin Cities Music Community Trust.
