The Chilton Mk1
The Chilton Mk1
We sold out of these in 2020, but Donovan recently discovered we still had a few of the original dials, so we’re offering those.
Our first watch, the Chilton, was an attempt to make a modern classic: a clean 3-register manual-wind no-date chrono. We wanted a watch you could imagine being in some cool relative’s drawer: something that looked like a watch out of time.
We also wanted to make a watch using an integrated manual-wind chronograph movement; at the time, the Seagull ST-19 had just come out, and it was really tempting, but that movement’s tolerances were nowhere near what we wanted. After a chat in spring of ‘18 with Sellita, we discovered the SW510M was about to be released, and we put in our order and got to work.
I’m super stoked with what we came up with, and, having worn one of these watches for 5 years, I can tell you they put up with absolutely everything and look great the whole time. Colorful and rugged and a watch that takes its fun very seriously, the Chilton's a reliable go-anywhere do-anything classic.
